Valemount, B.C.- August 20- 22

This small town and campground was recommended to us by some people we met in Denali.  They said that they originally were only going to stay 2 days and ended up staying a week, so we decided we would plan on 3 days.  It’s a charming town with gorgeous mountains all around.
Our first stop was the visitor center where I could resist taking a photo of the beautiful quilt they had hanging there.  The mountain in the middle of the quilt is Mt. Robson the main attraction.  They do a lot of cross country skiing here in the winter as well as cat skiing, sledding and snowmobile tours.

As we were leaving the visitor center I said to Bernie “those look like rain clouds” – and wouldn’t you know it we got pounded.  We woke up the next day to new snow – not on us, but on all of the mountains around us.  What a beautiful sight.

 Sunset last night
