Anchorage and Seward - June 24th

The day after we said good bye to the boys was “Nancy Beautification Day.”   I desperately needed my hair cut, a fill and a pedicure.  Thank heavens for Yelp.  I found a great salon for my hair and one for nails.  Hair cut not as good as Christina, but it will do.  Nails great – would like to bring them home with me to SB.  That night we went back to the Snow Goose restaurant and this time sat outdoors with a beautiful view. 

June 25^th – We got up early as we needed to get propane and gas and decided that I would follow Bernie to the gas station for the propane and then to Costco for gas and then hook up the tow car.  We wanted to get to Seward early in the day for a good spot.  First problem of the day:  When we were ready to leave the electric steps on the motor home wouldn’t go out and come in.  Fortunately, they were in, so we could drive.  Off to the gas station where we had to make a sharp turn and the motor home went over the curb and blew a tire. Called the insurance company and they sent someone out to change the tire.  We had purchased a spare, so that was no problem.  We just had to find someone who carried and had another tire.  Found a place close by, so that wasn’t a problem either.  Meanwhile, I made a quick trip to the Home Depot to purchase a step ladder, so that we would be able to get in and out.  Back at the gas station, tire on and we are ready to go to the tire store.  On the way out of the parking lot a 3 foot pole jumped up and ran into the right side of the motor home.  No damage that can’t be fixed when we get home and that bungee cords and duck tape couldn’t fix in the mean time.  Got the tire ordered, went to Costco and got gas, hooked up the little car and were on our way to Seward at 11:30 a.m. –leaving only 4 hrs. later than we had planned. 

We arrived into Seward in time to get a disabled parking space for the night. We were planning on staying in Seward for 11 days, so this wasn't going to work in the long run.
